Squarespace is mainly known as a website building and hosting platform, but it is also an ICANN-accredited domain registrar. It only became one of the top domain registrars after the company acquired Google Domains back in 2023.
Many customers of Google Domains were not happy about the transfer of their domains to Squarespace. The main complaints being higher prices and poor/lacking support service.
Another shortcoming of Squarespace is that they support a limited number of TLDs compared to other registrars.
You can’t register a .ai domain name at Squarespace because it doesn’t support this TLD. I suggest you consider other .ai domain registrars like Namecheap or Spaceship. They have lower prices (especially Spaceship) and better support service.
