.media is a new generic TLD that is aimed at companies and professionals in the media business.
There aren’t many websites that use a .media domain name, and I don’t personally remember seeing any .media website. But it’s out there as a potential alternative to .com.
In terms of aftermarket value, there is very little demand for .media domains. NameBio has tracked a little over two hundred .media sales over the past 10 years.
Only four .media domains sold for five figures, the biggest of which was reported just yesterday (July 14, 2025): Airport.media sold for $50,215 at Sedo. This is now the highest .media domain sale publicly reported.
The following are the 10 highest reported .media sales as of this post’s date:
| Domain | Sold For |
|---|---|
| airport.media | $50,215 |
| op.media | $20,500 |
| dx.media | $20,000 |
| web.media | $15,000 |
| create.media | $5,564 |
| pro.media | $4,200 |
| welcome.media | $4,000 |
| encrage.media | $3,400 |
| programmatic.media | $3,000 |
| break.media | $2,010 |
These aren’t particularly impressive figures in the domain industry, but not terribly bad for a five-character TLD.
